SERVICE DESCRIPTIONS

• DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE- A therapeutic massage that requires a heavier pressure OR a therapeutic massage that requires more specific/detailed work to alleviate tension and "holding patterns" within the body.  Most people with acute/chronic pain or injuries find deep tissue massage to be helpful in releasing the trauma/tension patterns in their "problem areas".  This massage is more focus work and not often a full body massage.  Deep Tissue does NOT necessarily mean heavy pressure. 

 

• RELAXATION MASSAGE- A general full body massage with broad strokes and whatever pressure you find relaxing.  Scalp, face, hands and feet often included to promote more relaxation. 

 

• PRE & POST NATAL MASSAGE- A full body massage with some moderate focus on the pregnant woman's areas of tension related to her pregnancy experience.  All trimesters are welcome, including the fourth trimester- postpartum.  If you are pregnant and would like deep tissue massage, please book as a deep tissue session.

 

• ENERGY WORK- These sessions can include some massage but the priority is on the mind-body connection.  I will work with your body to bring forward the mental, emotional and spiritual traumas or holding patterns that reside in your body which may be causing physical distress or pain.  These sessions are holistic and very informational.  Audio recording of the session is optional so that you can refer to the key points for later journaling.

 

• ABDOMINAL THERAPY- A therapeutic massage that focuses on the muscles of the abdominal core to improve organ function, digestion, circulation and overall sense of wellbeing.  Although everyone can benefit from abdominal work, specifically those with constipation, prolapse, irregular menstrual cycles, fertility issues, PCOS, endometriosis, and general abdominal issues experience the most benefit.
